Supporting APTERS Initiative

DISA Zambia is proud to share another successful report from our Projects Committee.
As you know APTERS (Appropriate Paper Technology) is a project which has been supported by DISA for many years. They use paper-based technology techniques to make mobility aids for children with cerebral palsy or birth injuries.
The global pandemic has also affected APTERS as they are unable to raise the funds to produce the mobility aids. During these difficult times APTERS decided to offer their services and make cloth masks to meet the public demand.
DISA Zambia assisted APTERS with funding of two sewing machines. The mothers were trained how to operate the machines, how to make three different types of masks with the filter slot.
We are happy to share some photos and Thank You Letter from Kenneth Habaalu, APTERS Director.
